The Mayan women are incredibly fine weavers, embroiderers and jewelry makers. We have chosen higher quality goods as a fundraiser. The proceeds will be used for the scholarship program extras, such as group trips to bring the girls together as "sisters" in a fun situation, computers, printers, etc. Also, we often have little emergencies that require money, such as a tooth that needed immediate repair.
